Millions of visually impaired individuals worldwide enjoy swimming, but they face numerous safety challenges in the pool. Statistics show that approximately 40% of visually impaired swimmers have experienced collisions or directional disorientation while swimming, which not only diminishes the overall experience but also increases the risk of injuries. Additionally, improper posture or deviation from the intended direction during swimming can lead to greater energy expenditure and even impact their health. To address these pain points, we have designed a smart swimming aid featuring an X-shaped back structure and vibration feedback technology. This device provides obstacle detection, directional guidance, and posture correction to enhance the safety and overall swimming quality for visually impaired individuals.
